Taking to the streets with a purpose

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Good Afternoon All,

Blessings on Wheels for the month of July represented a completion of greatness… It was truly AWESOME!!! If you joined us then you know what I’m talking about and if you didn’t please don’t miss out on it in August. We will take to the streets blessing some unfortunate people on August 18th. We will meet at 8:15 pm at Malcolm Cunningham Auto Gallery off Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur. Serving food, sodas, water to those in need and has fallen on hard times, while seeking shelter in the streets of downtown Atlanta.

As we take to the streets, we will prepare a hot meal to include but not limit to (bake /fried chicken, rice, beans, fruit cups, cookies, drinks and water). This may be the only meal that someone would receive that day… so we will prepare it with love…

The month of July for Blessings on Wheels is the 7th month of serving which represents completion, so what better way to complete something then doing something for the kids? Partnering with Block Entertainment we held our Back-to-School drive at the Fuqua Boys & Girls Club Salvation Army in Atlanta. Blessing well over 130 kids and getting them prepared for the upcoming school year. We were able to distribute backpacks and bags filled with schools supplies to kids ranging in age 6 – 18. Block Entertainment brought out some local artist to perform and what an awesome job they did!!! Thanks to Maurice with Block Ent. for making this event so special to the kids!!

Again, thanks to everyone for taking time out of their busy schedules to come help me collect and put together all the bags and supplies. To those who supplied the items to go in the bags, words can’t express the gratitude I have for each and every one of you as well!

Many of you have replied wishing to support as well as to help with this month’s vision gathering. I am asking everyone to have all items to me no later then Monday the 16th and we will gather together to prepare food and take to the streets on Wednesday the 18th.
If you are donating food, please have these items in by this date to assure proper preparation.

Thanking everyone in advance for their act of kindness towards my vision… I do understand that this is a vision of mine and may not be an interest of yours, so if you wish to be deleted from these emails, please reply back “take me off the list” and I truly would understand.

Love like Him, Live like Him, Lead like Him… Each month of 2010 I vowed to God that I will be a blessing to someone… That’s my vision, what’s yours??”

Stephanie
